Exotics Racing

This is an image of a Mercedes SLC AMG racing around the track at Exotics Racing here in Vegas. I had the great opportunity of covering this local business and attraction for an upcoming assignment for the magazine I work for. I’ve got more to post, but they’re on my computer at work. This was one of my favorites that I stayed late to make pictures of because I’ve always had loved the Mercedes style.

Halloween Parade, Downtown Las Vegas, 2012

Halloween just about anywhere is pretty fun in my opinion. And of course, Las Vegas does it their own special way just like everything else about this town. These are a selection of images from the parade held on the special night of the 31st. Thanks for looking.

Polo America in Las Vegas

This past weekend I was able to go to a unique sporting event at the South Point Casino and Hotel here in Vegas. Polo America held a weekend event including an exhibition match Friday night that I photographed. These are my favorite shots that I got, and for the most part I think they turned out pretty decent. I had never been to a polo match before, so I wasn’t sure what to expect or how to capture the action. The horses and their riders move quick, and lighting can be tricky.

Death Valley National Park

I have the pleasure of living about 2 hours outside of Death Valley National Park. This makes for a great shooting environment all different times of year. So far, within the last 2 months I have gone twice. Here are some of the images that I’ve gotten while in the Californian desert lands.

And here is a shot of me standing on the edge of Dante’s View.

Lucky Connection

I really love photographing geography and landcape photography takes me back to my original love of the art sometimes.  This is one of those times.  Yesterday my wife and I flew from Indianapolis to Austin with a connecting flight in Phoenix.  At first, I thought this would be quite an annoyance as Phoenix is very much out-of-the-way but it turned out to be a great photo-op.  I’ve only been out to this area of the country once before, and it was by bus.  Seeing the desert and mountains from above gives everything a much different look.  I’ve had the pleasure of photographing from a plane in the past, and it turns out that the window seat of a commercial airliner and an iPhone go hand-in-hand.
